Responsibilities: The Treatment Supervisor is supervisory and direct care work for a DHS licensed behavioral health provider. They are responsible for providing treatment supervision to each staff person who provides services to a client. To be responsible for the overall clinical and treatment supervision of client Individual Treatment Plans and program activities Seek and review client social historical, psychological, psychiatric, and health related information prior to screening interview. Provide instruction on alternative strategies if a client is not achieving treatment goals. Review and evaluate each client’s assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes for accuracy and appropriateness. Assure that a functional assessment is completed. Assure a diagnostic assessment is completed. Review Individual Treatment Plans. Facilitate weekly treatment team reviews of client progress towards meeting treatment goals and summarize progress by way of documentation. Review and approve all non-licensed personnel’s treatment documentation in the EHR. To be actively involved in client treatment. Provide individual and group counseling to clients, families and significant others as permitted by the client. Assess and refer clients to other mental and physical health services as indicated. Treatment supervision of staff persons who are not mental health professionals or certified rehabilitation specialists. Develop individual treatment supervision plans for each staff person. Provide treatment supervision that focuses on each client’s treatment needs and the ability of the staff person to provide services to each client. Review and evaluate the interventions that the staff person delivers to each client. Instruction on the cultural norms or values of the clients and the communities that the program serves and the impact that aa client’s culture has on providing treatment. Evaluation of and feedback regrading direct service person’s areas of competency. Coaching, teaching, and practicing skills with staff person. To maintain open and honest communication with the Treatment Director, Program Director, and other staff promoting the concept of teamwork and support. To be responsible for maintaining professional conduct in performance of duties. Tiered Pay Structure Based on Experience Compensation for this position is based on a tired system that reflects the candidate's level of independent licensure and years of relevant experience: Tier 1: Newly, independently licensed and up to 2 full years post-licensure performing related job duties. Tier 2: Three to 5 full years of being independently licensed while performing related job duties (See Treatment Supervisor – Tier III if able to supervise others towards licensure). Tier 3: (1) Six or more years of being independently licensed while performing related job duties. -OR- (2) Four years or more of being independently licensed, performing related work duties, and is recognized by their respective licensure board as able to supervise non-licensed Mental Health Practitioners and Clinical Trainees towards their independent licensure.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed as a: LMFT; LPCC; LICSW or; a person with a master's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields, with at least 4,000 hours of post-master's supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services in the treatment of mental illness and holds a current and valid national certification as a certified rehabilitation counselor or certified psychosocial rehabilitation practitioner.
  • A Mental Health Professional who is qualified only in the “allied fields” category may provide clinical supervision in an Intensive residential rehabilitative mental health services settings but not diagnostic assessments.
  • The “allied fields” category is not recognized for the purposes of Crisis Stabilization Services.
