Treatment Plant Intern
About The Position
This internship provides entry-level exposure to the exciting world of Wastewater/Water Treatment Plant Operations. You will get hands-on experience in monitoring, plant operations, and basic preventative maintenance on equipment at wastewater/water treatment plants (pumps, valves, filters, chlorination system, etc). Through routine inspections, you’ll identify potential issues and gain skills in troubleshooting and data analysis. With this internship, you will gain the skills and experience necessary to launch a rewarding career as a Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid Arizona Class ‘D’ Driver’s License upon hire
Responsibilities
- Monitoring plant operations
- Performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment such as pumps, valves, filters, and chlorination systems
- Conducting routine inspections to identify potential issues
- Troubleshooting equipment problems
- Analyzing data related to plant operations
