About The Position
West Janisch Health Care Center is seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Treatment Nurse (LVN or RN) to join our skilled nursing team. This is a highly important role focused on wound care, skin integrity, healing, and prevention, helping improve quality outcomes and resident well-being every day. Requirements
- Current Texas LVN or RN license in good standing
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced healthcare environment
Nice To Haves
- Wound care experience preferred
- Certification is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform daily skin assessments and administer prescribed treatments
- Provide wound care and preventive skin integrity interventions
- Monitor wounds and resident progress while communicating updates to physicians and families
- Accurately document treatments, observations, and progress notes
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team on treatment plans
- Support infection prevention and skin integrity initiatives
- Educate staff on wound prevention, pressure injury prevention, and treatment protocols
- Ensure compliance with all clinical documentation and regulatory standards
