About The Position

Intercept Health is a licensed provider of Treatment Foster Care (TFC) in Virginia. We partner with individuals and families to serve as Treatment Foster Parents for the over 5,000 children in Virginia's foster care system. This role involves providing a nurturing home environment for children, helping them cope with separation, loss, and grief, and supporting their connections with biological families.

Requirements

At least 21 years old.
Live in Virginia.
Married or single (not cohabitating).
Physically and emotionally stable (able to pass a physical exam).
Financially stable without the use of State assistance.
Able to provide space in your home to accommodate a foster child.
Able to pass a background check.
Able to provide a valid driver's license and have an insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

Provide a home for a foster child.
Help a child cope with separation, loss, and grief.
Nurture a child's safe connection with biological family and support return home goals.
Help the child preserve relationships as well as build new ones.
Work as a member of the TFC team.
Comply with licensing standards for foster family homes.
