About The Position

Mennonite Village is seeking a Treatment Aide to support residents and clinical staff by providing essential treatments, monitoring health changes, and ensuring accurate documentation in our assisted living community. In this important role, you'll help ensure residents receive timely, respectful care while supporting Team Leaders, Resident Assistants, and licensed nurses. This position is part-time Sunday/Monday Dayshift. At Mennonite Village, relationships come first, starting with our team. The Treatment Aide supports quality resident care by completing delegated treatments, monitoring vital signs, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate, confidential documentation. This role works within Oregon Assisted Living regulations and does not replace licensed nursing care, but plays a vital part in communication, coordination, and daily resident well‑being.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Commitment to resident rights and dignity
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Comfort using electronic documentation systems
  • Heimlich maneuver training (required)
  • First Aid certification within 120 days of hire
  • Oregon CNA 1 or Certified Medication Aide preferred
  • Willingness to complete all required training and competency validations

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in senior living or healthcare is helpful but not required-we'll train the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Administer delegated, non‑injectable treatments (such as topical creams and skin care) following resident service plans and licensed nurse direction
  • Obtain and document routine vital signs accurately and on time
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to licensed staff
  • Respond to resident falls, complete required documentation, and assist with follow‑up communication
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic treatment record (ETAR/TAR)
  • Transmit and route clinical documents using Kno2 fax systems
  • Assist with coordinating medical appointments, transportation, and treatment supplies
  • Maintain a clean, organized treatment cart and health room
  • Follow infection prevention practices and safety procedures
  • Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and team members
  • Participate in training, meetings, and ongoing skill development
