About The Position

Assist in managing collateral management activities across the lifecycle of collaterals, ensuring data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting. This role involves managing the lifecycle of collateral securities, recording and maintaining collateral transactions, supporting financial close activities, reconciling inventories, partnering with credit risk teams, contributing to process improvements, providing audit support, and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of collateral data and reporting. The position also involves collaborating on cross-functional projects to strengthen collateral management capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; major in Finance preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience within treasury
  • Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail and ability to drive tasks independently
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and ability to multi-task
  • Team player with good problem-solving skills who is willing to learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required

Responsibilities

  • Manage the lifecycle of collateral securities, including onboarding, amendments, reductions, cancellations, and expirations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal governance standards.
  • Record and maintain collateral transactions within safe-custody, centralized systems, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including KPI reporting and performance tracking for the Collateral Management function.
  • Reconcile non-statutory collateral inventories and deliver monthly reporting through Power BI, enhancing transparency and decision-making.
  • Partner with Credit Risk and Underwriting teams to support the review and analysis of collateral positions, including inventory distribution and risk exposure insights.
  • Contribute to process transformation initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and driving improvements in collateral operations and reporting workflows.
  • Provide timely and accurate audit support, including preparation of documentation and responses to auditor inquiries.
  • Review and validate collateral documentation prior to issuance to ensure compliance with NYS regulatory requirements and internal AIG standards.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of collateral data and reporting, supporting enterprise-wide governance and control frameworks.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives to strengthen collateral management capabilities across CMG.
