About The Position

The Treasury Management Sales Coordinator manages and pursues treasury management fee income, deposit growth and product penetration across an assigned portfolio of existing and future clients. This role involves managing and actively cross-selling into an existing portfolio of Treasury Management clients to drive treasury and card fee income, deposit growth and product penetration. The coordinator will proactively schedule sales calls, attend sales calls scheduled by other lines of business partners, and manage follow-up from annual Treasury Management client reviews with a focus on upselling new TM services and identifying new depository opportunities. Responsibilities include preparing pricing/profitability models, proposals, presentations, and payment cycle reviews. The role also involves identifying opportunities for merchant services and receivables, making referrals, coordinating RFPs, pitch books, and contract negotiations, and conducting product demonstrations. Additionally, the coordinator will gather data for new client implementations, monitor implementation status, maintain communication with clients and internal partners, and clearly communicate complex solutions. The position also requires providing cross-sell referrals, interacting with clients to provide extraordinary service, staying current with Treasury Management products, services, and regulatory requirements, and developing positive relationships with associates, clients, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Treasury Management, Cash Management, Commercial Banking, or a related financial services role.
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of commercial clients, with a focus on expanding treasury services, deposit growth, and fee income.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative sales and cross-selling treasury management and payment solutions.
  • Experience preparing and presenting pricing models, profitability analyses, and client proposals.
  • Strong background working with treasury management products and services, including ACH, wire transfers, remote deposit capture, commercial card, and merchant services.
  • Experience leading or supporting client implementations, including coordinating with internal partners and ensuring successful onboarding.
  • Proven ability to interact with business clients, executives, and internal stakeholders in a professional and influential manner.
  • Experience working in a regulated financial environment, with knowledge of applicable compliance and risk requirements.
  • Track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Experience collaborating across lines of business, including Commercial Banking, Credit, Operations, and Product teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant Treasury Management or banking experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong expertise in treasury management products and payment solutions, including cash management, ACH, wire transfers, merchant services, and commercial card programs, along with the ability to manage and grow client relationships through consultative sales and cross-selling.
  • Solid financial and analytical skills to develop pricing models, profitability analyses, and tailored client proposals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to clearly convey complex solutions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple client implementations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal partners across business lines.
  • Ability to deliver a high level of client service.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, and fraud mitigation.
  • Proficiency in banking systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office applications is also essential.
  • Performs primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation.
  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator.
  • Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and actively and cross-sell into an existing portfolio of Treasury Management clients to drive treasury and card fee income, deposit growth and product penetration.
  • Proactively schedule sales calls with assigned clients, as well as attend sales calls scheduled by other lines of business partners.
  • Schedule, prepare, attend and manage follow-up from annual Treasury Management client reviews, with a focus on upselling new TM services and identifying new depository opportunities.
  • Prepare treasury and commercial card pricing/profitability models, proposal, presentations and payment cycle reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for merchant services and receivables opportunities within existing client base and make qualified referrals to FirsTech.
  • Coordinate and/or provide assistance for RFPs, pitch books and contract negotiation with internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and conduct product demonstrations for clients.
  • Gather data, processing instructions, documentation and other information required to facilitate new client Treasury Management implementations.
  • Monitor the status of active implementations to ensure setups are completed on time and accurately in accordance with client expectations.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with clients and internal partners during the sales and implementation process.
  • Clearly and accurately communicate complex solutions to clients; suggest products and services that increase efficiency and/or reduce risk of fraud.
  • Provide cross-sell referrals to other functional areas within the Bank.
  • Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
  • Remain current with all Treasury Management products and services as well as regulatory requirements and understand the impact to the Treasury Management function.
  • Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work; utilize appropriate technology and service tools for tracking of internal and external requests.
  • Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with other Associates, clients and vendors.
