About The Position

This role is for a Treasury Management Officer II within a highly productive, industry-leading team of treasury professionals. The primary responsibilities include business development (new and cross-selling), ensuring client service excellence, client retention, and client consultation. Revenue growth and client retention are paramount. The role involves self-sourcing, external networking, and partnering with key team members to drive business, including prospecting with internal partners. A One Bank team approach is expected to understand clients' and prospects' business environments, strategies, and industries to identify financial needs and appropriate working capital management solutions. The position is responsible and accountable for risk management through open communication, elevating concerns, and adhering to policies and procedures. The individual must consistently identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report risks of all types while operating within the Bank's risk appetite and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Accounting) or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • CTP certification is strongly encouraged.
  • Minimum of 4 years Commercial Banking /Treasury Management experience, preferably at least 3 years in a sales role.
  • Demonstrated record of consistently exceeding performance goals.
  • Possess a strong desire to constantly strive to improve oneself.
  • Strong client interaction skills and demonstrated ability to influence the outcome of a sales process.
  • Aptitude for powerful presentations and negotiation skills with internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate the benefits of strong working capital management solutions to clients.
  • Proven product and sales knowledge sufficient to help mentor new team members.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a wide array of treasury management products.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Basic proficiency in PC software (MS Office).
  • Understanding of Treasury Management, Payment and products and solutions.
  • Ability to build new & existing client relationships.
  • Ability to evaluate client needs.
  • Basic understanding of financial statement analysis.
  • Ability to provide strategic treasury advisory services.
  • Understanding of investment management techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Persuasively articulate Fifth Third's value proposition to influence sales outcomes.
  • Identify client needs and present working capital solutions.
  • Understand payment processes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in knowledge of all strategic TM solutions and their benefits.
  • Understand competitor capabilities and gaps to position Fifth Third's services.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly client service reviews.
  • Develop personal relationships with C-suite and senior management decision makers.
  • Devise and execute a plan to exceed sales goals.
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline of new and cross-sell opportunities to a win/loss decision.
  • Actively manage a pipeline using the CRM tool.
  • Maintain lines of communication with RMs individually and as a group.
  • Review sales goals with RMs and advise on calling strategies.
  • Educate and advise RMs on new TM product development initiatives.
  • Assess RMs' knowledge levels and bring them up to a minimum standard.
  • Partner with RMs to provide recommendations on sales opportunities.
  • Work closely with assigned client specialists to ensure excellent ongoing client service.
  • Assist with general bank communications to clients.
  • Take ownership and deliver timely resolution of client issues.
  • Develop knowledge of internal resources for accurate client issue response.
  • Understand and communicate implementation timelines to align with client expectations.
  • Ensure proper account documentation and agreement execution.
  • Communicate recurring or serious product issues to management.
  • Recommend viable solutions to improve client service.
  • Understand, appreciate, and promote the history, financial position, operating model, and commitment to client experience of 5/3 Bank.
