We believe in providing value for our customers and communities. The Treasury Management Consultant role is designed for individuals who can build relationships, solve problems, and grow businesses. This role involves being a trusted advisor and problem-solver for business clients, focusing on developing new treasury management relationships, uncovering revenue opportunities, and building lasting connections with existing clients through needs-based consulting. The consultant will partner with internal teams to create comprehensive solutions, lead sales presentations, explain treasury services, and recommend appropriate solutions. Strategic execution of sales strategies to increase market penetration and drive growth is key, along with staying informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and treasury solutions. This role also involves providing guidance and support to less-experienced team members, contributing to new product development, and representing Northrim at community events. Participation in bank-wide activities is also expected. Depending on the individual, this role may include supervisory responsibilities such as coordinating workflow, training, supporting performance development, and ensuring compliance.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least three years of progressively responsible experience in direct sales and/or customer service.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
The ability to understand financial information, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
The confidence to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make things happen.
A proactive, creative, and innovative approach to solving customer and business challenges.
Strong knowledge of banking products, services, operations, and applicable compliance requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Treasury management or related sales experience is a big plus.

Responsibilities

Grow the business by developing new treasury management relationships and uncovering opportunities to generate revenue.

Represent Northrim at community events, trade shows, and other opportunities to build relationships and strengthen our presence.
Be part of the bigger picture by participating in bank-wide activities, committees, task forces, and special projects.
Supervisory responsibilities may include helping coordinate workflow, train team members, support performance development, and ensure compliance requirements are met.
