About The Position

The Treasury Director provides strategic leadership across all treasury, capital allocation framework and insurance activities for the Company. The role is accountable for optimising the Company's capital structure, capital returns, securing and managing debt financing facilities including revolving credit facilities, capital allocation and cultivating senior banking relationships. The role brings a commercially focused lens to cashflow management and treasury operations, with particular responsibility for the insurance program and its alignment to the Company's broader risk appetite. Reporting directly to the VP of FP&A and Treasury, the role acts as a key advisor to executive leadership on financial risk, liquidity strategy, capital returns and funding decisions that support business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive treasury, capital markets, or corporate finance experience, with at least 3–5 years at a senior or director level
  • Proven track record of leading financing transactions (RCF, term loans, bonds) and managing banking relationships at a senior level
  • Direct experience managing corporate insurance programs, ideally in an industrial, mining, or commodities-sector business
  • Exposure to capital markets strongly desirable
  • Mining or natural resources industry experience an asset
  • Deep expertise in treasury management systems, hedging, insurance terms and derivatives documentation
  • Strong command of capital structure analysis, credit metrics, and leverage modelling
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel
  • Familiarity with SOX frameworks and treasury-related control environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a treasury and insurance team, fostering technical capability and commercial awareness
  • Commercially astute able to connect treasury and insurance decisions to broader business strategy and value creation
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; comfortable presenting to Boards, CFOs, and external counterparties
  • Strong negotiation skills, particularly in a banking, financing, or insurance context
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and work effectively across a global, multi-site organisation
  • Strategic thinker with the analytical rigour to support and defend recommendations at executive level
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Company's 3rd Party Financing, including managing debt financing transactions and subsequent compliance thereof (bonds, term loans, project financing)
  • Own and manage the Revolving Credit Facility (RCF), including negotiation of key terms, manage banking relationships, covenant compliance, utilization strategy, and periodic amendments or refinancings
  • Evaluate and recommend optimal capital structure, balancing cost of capital, leverage metrics, and strategic flexibility
  • Assess borrowing capacity and determine future funding requirements in the context of the Company's growth strategy and project pipeline
  • Monitor debt capital markets and credit conditions to identify opportunities for refinancing, liability management, or new issuance
  • Work closely with Investor Relations to understand market dynamics and investor perspectives
  • Monitor the Company’s financial position of the business against the Capital Allocation Framework
  • Structure and articulate recommendations in relation to shareholder returns (including dividends and share-buybacks)
  • Structure share-repurchase programs and engage with financial institutions to execute thereon
  • Serve as key point of contact for senior banking relationships and treasury operations
  • Manage the global banking panel including RFP processes, bank mandate allocation, and fee negotiation to ensure competitive terms and strategic alignment
  • Evaluate and onboard new banking partners as the Company's geographic and operational footprint evolves
  • Provide strategic oversight of day-to-day treasury operations, including global cash management, intercompany funding and collections/disbursements
  • Work closely with Corporate Development team on sales execution in relation to metal sales, managing cashflow and funding of the business through metal sales collections
  • Drive improvements to cash visibility, forecasting accuracy, and working capital efficiency across the business

  • Manage investment of surplus cash across all entities to extract value whilst maintaining flexibility

  • Provide strategic recommendations to the VP of FP&A and executive on risk management positioning, including hedge ratios, instruments, and portfolio construction
  • Monitor macroeconomic and market conditions to anticipate, identify opportunities and respond to risk exposures
  • Support the corporate risk management process and contribute to enterprise risk reporting
  • Own the Company's global insurance program, providing strategic direction on coverage design and terms, risk retention levels, limits, and program structure
  • Take a commercially focused approach to insurance ensuring coverage decisions are actively aligned to asset risk profiles, project development stages, and the Company's risk appetite framework
  • Lead the annual insurance renewal process, managing relationships with brokers and (re)insurers at senior level to secure competitive and comprehensive coverage
  • Co-ordinate activities between insurance broker & mine site/internal departments, prepare related documentation/presentations and anticipate/monitor insurable risk conditions for mine sites
  • Provide commercial input on insurable risk for new projects, acquisitions, and joint ventures — engaging early in due diligence and deal structuring
  • Analyse insurable risk exposure across mine sites and corporate operations; develop recommendations on risk transfer vs. self-insurance/captive structures
  • Ensure claims management processes are fit for purpose and that the Company extracts full value from its insurance program
  • Present insurance strategy and program updates to the CFO and senior leadership team
  • Prepare Board and executive-level reports on treasury, capital markets, and insurance translating complex financial topics into clear strategic narrative
  • Lead treasury input into quarterly financial reporting, budget, and life-of-mine forecasting processes
  • Maintain SOX compliance across all treasury processes (metal sales, investment, hedging, debt); lead periodic reviews of control documentation
  • Support internal and external audit activities and act as the senior treasury contact for audit committees
  • Ensure all financing documentation, covenant packages, and lender reporting obligations are met on time and to a high standard
