About The Position

Finning International Inc. is seeking a high-potential Treasury Analyst to join their dynamic Corporate Treasury team. This role offers exposure to capital markets, FX, cash management, and strategic finance initiatives within a global organization. The position is based in Surrey, BC or Calgary, AB, with a hybrid work model requiring 2-to-3 days per week in the office. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in finance, treasury, or financial analysis
  • Strong understanding of cash management, FX, and financial instruments
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with Kyriba, Bloomberg, or similar tools is an asset
  • CPA, CFA, or progress toward designation is an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily cash positioning, forecasting, and bank reconciliations.
  • Provide recommendations on borrowing and investment decisions.
  • Execute and validate treasury transactions (FX, debt, investments, payments).
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly treasury reports, hedge accounting, and management presentations.
  • Develop cash flow forecasts, finance cost projections, and scenario analysis.
  • Build and maintain advanced financial models supporting FX and capital markets strategies.
  • Support FX hedging programs, including derivative valuation and settlements.
  • Assist with risk monitoring and hedge effectiveness testing.
  • Contribute to debt refinancing and capital structure analysis.
  • Support credit rating agency presentations and corporate finance initiatives.
  • Administer banking platforms and Treasury Management System (Kyriba).
  • Act as a key liaison between treasury, banking partners, and internal teams.
  • Drive improvements in processes, reporting, and controls.
  • Support pension governance and reporting.
  • Assist with global insurance programs and claims analysis.
  • Collaborate across finance teams and support external audit processes.
