About The Position

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for the daily processing and administration of all wire payments originated by the Treasury Group, the administration and record-keeping of Applied Materials' bank accounts globally, and general analytical support for the Treasury Operations function. The role requires a high degree of accuracy, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a detail-oriented self-starter who consistently delivers accurate, high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with enterprise systems and advanced Excel; familiarity with automation and AI tools where appropriate.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently and to communicate workload conflicts to management in a timely manner.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, journal entries, and reconciliations) and an understanding of how cash and treasury transactions flow to the general ledger.

  • Experience with, or exposure to, banking and financial markets is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process global wire payments through the banking platforms and Treasury Management System (TMS), applying a working knowledge of international transactions, FX settlements and intercompany funding.
  • Maintain appropriate cash positions across major header bank accounts to meet obligations, minimize idle cash, identify funding gaps in advance, and reduce bank fees.
  • Partner with banking institutions to resolve complex settlement and transaction matters.
  • Support the full lifecycle of the company's bank accounts — from opening and maintenance through closure — to ensure operational efficiency, security, and regulatory compliance across all banking relationships.
  • Responsibilities include bank communications, KYC, the collection of signatures and approvals, and close coordination with the Trade, Legal, and Tax functions.
  • Prepare quarterly reports on bank accounts and user access for controller review to ensure appropriate internal controls.
  • Administer the TMS (FIS Integrity), global banking platforms and the internal payment approval system, including user setup, entitlement management, and resolution of system inquiries.
  • Investigate and resolve TMS issues — such as payment failures, authentication errors, and statement transmission failures — in coordination with TMS vendors, internal IT, and bank technical teams.
  • Support the quarter-end cash forecast using the Direct Method, consolidating forecast data from various groups and sources.
  • Conduct bank fee analysis to identify discrepancies and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Contribute to ad hoc initiatives, including the expansion of TMS capabilities, automation of existing workflows, and ERP/TMS migration.
