The Treasury Advisor applies consultative sales and relationship-management practices to generate leads and close sales of treasury management and payment solutions for new and existing clients while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role manages sales processes, client engagement, and outcomes; monitors implementation activities against timelines; and provides tailored solutions while improving processes to enhance client experiences and business outcomes. The position handles client inquiries about products, pricing, and implementation; conducts sales discussions and shares product and industry insights; and manages the Client Management Process to identify needs, build relationships, and grow the client portfolio. It supports implementation through documentation, pricing, and timeline coordination, and works with internal teams to define client-appropriate products, solutions, and strategies. The Advisor also supports adoption of North American Treasury and Payment Solutions digital products, advises clients on cash flow, liquidity, and working capital, and builds long-term relationships with high-value and strategic clients. The role analyzes account, client, and industry data; addresses overdrawn-account trends, document exceptions, and maturity-report discrepancies; and follows escalation procedures and regulatory requirements. It exercises judgment to resolve complex or unusual problems independently, while applying the bank’s Risk Management Framework and approved Risk Appetite. Broader duties may be assigned as needed. The position’s focus is primarily within a BMO business or group, with the possibility of broader enterprise-wide scope.
