About The Position
The Treasurer Support Specialist provides operational, analytical, and administrative support to the Treasurer and accounting and finance department. This position assists with the preparation and maintenance of financial reporting, ALCO materials, shareholder information, and other treasury and finance functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or economics
- Strong Excel spreadsheet skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies
- Working knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts
- Written and oral communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in banking, finance, accounting, treasury operations, or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Support the administration and monitoring of the Bank's investment portfolio by maintaining records, processing documentation, preparing reports, and assisting with reconciliations
- Assist with maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation related to Treasury functions
- Prepare and maintain recurring Treasury and financial reports for review by the Treasurer and other members of management
- Assist with financial reporting by gathering supporting data, researching discrepancies, and ensuring supporting documentation is complete and accurate
- Maintain shareholder records and assist with the preparation and distribution of shareholder communications and related documentation
- Assist with requests from internal and external auditors by gathering reports, schedules, and supporting documentation
- Support the Treasurer with recurring reporting requirements, financial analysis, research, and special projects
- Support the Treasurer with running, maintaining, and documenting the Bank’s asset liability management and interest rate risk model
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve Treasury and Finance processes, reporting, controls, and overall efficiency
- Collaborate with Accounting/Finance and other departments to obtain information and resolve questions or discrepancies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
