About The Position

The Tray Passer is responsible for delivering patient meal trays accurately and timely throughout the hospital. This role ensures meal accuracy and compliance with dietary requirements, manages multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and reliability. The Tray Passer works effectively both independently and as part of a team, following food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention standards. Additionally, the role involves providing courteous customer service to patients, families, and staff, addressing their needs, and escalating concerns when appropriate. Professional communication with all stakeholders and collaboration with team members are key aspects of this position.

Requirements

• Mandatory every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Stands and walks for extended periods
• Pushes and maneuvers meal carts throughout the hospital
• Lifts and carries food trays and supplies
• Maintains safety and service standards in a fast-paced environment
