About The Position

The Ark-Tex Council of Governments (ATCOG) is now accepting applications for an as-needed TRAX Operator. This position is as needed, filling in when drivers are absent. Position is responsible for providing transportation services to individuals, including persons with disabilities, in a safe and timely manner; and operating and maintaining the TRAX vehicles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Knowledge of vehicle operations
• Must pass a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) approved drug test and criminal records check
• Demonstrated proficiency in vehicle operation
• Verbal and people skills
• Ability to think through situations and deal with problems constructively
• Ability to deal with stress
• Self-motivated with a clean driving record
• Ability to see, hear, reach, stoop, bend, and lift and carry up to 25 lbs
• Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

• CDL preferred
