About The Position

The Ark-Tex Council of Governments (ATCOG) is accepting applications for an as-needed TRAX Operator in Lamar County. This position is responsible for providing transportation services to individuals, including persons with disabilities, in a safe and timely manner, and operating and maintaining TRAX vehicles. Applicants must identify how they meet the minimum qualifications and respond in detail to the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) questions in the application.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of vehicle operations.
• Must pass a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) approved drug test and criminal records check.
• Demonstrated proficiency in vehicle operation.
• Verbal and people skills.
• Ability to think through situations and deal with problems constructively.
• Ability to deal with stress.
• Self-motivated with a clean driving record.
• Ability to see, hear, reach, stoop, bend, and lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
