About The Position

EMD Electronics is looking to immediately hire experienced Welders to support existing projects within the US. Welders will be responsible for operating a TIG Lathe and Orbital welder assembling job orders in a manufacturing environment. This position would be scheduled Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with potential overtime, and must be able to support a travel schedule that aligns with this project (up to 80% to 90% travel). MEGASYS® offers specialized services in managing gases, chemicals and slurries, where our technicians and engineers provide critical on-site support in semiconductor manufacturing environments. In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other sites, participate in off-site meetings, and engage in occasional travel for training and strategic initiatives. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the success of our operations and enhancing customer relationships.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of hands-on TIG Lathe or Orbital welding experience

• Self-starting and motivated with good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment while following safety and process controls
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and engineering mechanical drawings

Responsibilities

• Perform orbital GTAW tube welding, assembly, and installation of mechanical components onto sheet metal plates and inside of sheet metal frames and enclosures on equipment
• Check raw materials and quantities against a bill of materials and arrange them according to a design drawing
• Perform inspection and general tool maintenance
• Apply welding symbols and maintain proper sequence of assembly and accuracy of fit-up
• Use computer interface for reading/understanding P&ID and mechanical diagrams and drawings
• Work with supervision to adjust weld parameters to meet required weld quality
• Maintain all required certifications under applicable codes
