Full-time Traveling Teller, Southeast Texas
About The Position
The Traveling Teller is responsible for filling staffing needs at six FivePoint Golden Triangle Branches: Lumberton, Beaumont, Nederland, Port Arthur, Bridge City, and Orange. This role involves providing a variety of paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, and cash advances. The Traveling Teller balances each day's transactions and verifies cash and check totals. This position will travel to any FivePoint Golden Triangle Branch. Additionally, the role includes performing specific assigned side-jobs, assisting other Tellers, and working in the Live Teller Center. In the Live Teller Center, the Traveling Teller provides real-time teller assistance to members from a centralized location via video transmission through an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM). This requires comfort and proficiency with technology devices and services, and the ability to communicate effectively with members through video in a professional and engaging manner. The role also involves performing the most complex Teller functions as needed and ensuring members are promptly and professionally served.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent is required.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of quality customer service.
- Currency and check handling knowledge is required for full-time positions.
- Extensive customer service experience.
- Minimum one year experience handling currency and checks is required for full-time positions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Must be comfortable and proficient with technology devices and services and able to effectively communicate with members through video in a professional member-engaging manner.
- Good math skills.
- Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment including personal computer, adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, and telephone.
- Good typing/data entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Currency and check handling knowledge is preferred for part-time positions.
- Basic understanding of financial operations is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of teller operations is preferred.
- Minimum six months experience handling currency and checks is preferred for part-time positions.
- Teller or related experience is preferred.
- Ability to fluently speak and read in both English/Spanish.
Responsibilities

- Balancing each day's transactions and verifying cash and check totals.
- Traveling as a Teller to any FivePoint Golden Triangle Branch.
- Performing specific assigned side-jobs and assisting other Tellers with a variety of duties.
- Providing real-time teller assistance to members from a centralized location through video transmission via the Interactive Teller Machine (ITM).
- Performing most complex Teller functions as needed.
- Ensuring that members are promptly and professionally served.
- Establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members.
- Establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relationships with area personnel and with management.
- Performing related duties as required or assigned.
