About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Superintendent with strong expertise in structural steel construction to oversee multi-level commercial and industrial projects. The role involves managing job sites, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining safety and quality standards while traveling to various project locations in the Northeast Region. Salary is heavily dependent on experience.

Requirements

• Experience as a Superintendent, with a strong focus on structural steel projects; candidates at all experience levels can be considered.
• Proven track record leading multi-level and large-scale projects from start to finish.
• Deep understanding of steel erection, sequencing, inspections, and tolerances.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong safety background and ability to manage busy sites with multiple trades.
• Willingness to travel frequently to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations on structural steel-focused projects, ensuring schedule, safety, and quality compliance.
• Coordinate steel deliveries, sequencing, and erection to minimize downtime.
• Enforce site-wide safety standards across multiple subcontractors and trades.
• Manage field conflicts, mis-fabrications, and schedule delays while keeping projects on track.
• Conduct and coordinate inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Build and maintain strong subcontractor relationships while ensuring accountability.
• Report progress, issues, and updates to project managers and clients.
• Motivate crews to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Drive precise, high-quality installation on multi-level structural steel projects.
