About The Position

Storage Building Company is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent with a structural steel background to oversee field operations on self-storage and commercial projects. The role involves extensive travel to project sites and leadership to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of superintendent or foreman experience in structural steel or construction.
• Strong knowledge of steel erection, drawings or blueprints, and site safety practices.
• Proven ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively.
• Willingness to travel extensively to job sites; home on weekends when possible.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• OSHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations for structural steel erection and related trades.
• Coordinate schedules, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project timelines.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and project specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to maintain workmanship standards.
• Communicate with project managers, engineers, and clients.
• Solve problems proactively and keep projects moving forward.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates.
