About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling Structural Fitters/Welders for projects located in Pocatello, ID; West Jordan, UT; Henderson, NV and El Mirage, AZ. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $36/hour based on experience plus $120/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Requirements
- Experienced Traveling Structural Fitters/Welders
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, structural drawings, and AWS welding symbols
- Measure, mark, layout, and fit-up structural steel beams, columns, and heavy plates using clamps, jacks, and wedges
- Perform Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
- Operate fabrication equipment safely, including torch cutters, plasma cutters, and grinders
- Prep metal surfaces by grinding and cleaning joints to ensure maximum weld penetration and eliminate defects
