Requirements
- Proficiency with dental instruments and sterilization techniques
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations
- High school diploma
- RDA (Registered Dental Assistant)
Nice To Haves
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks such as coronal polishing is a plus
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Graduation from a dental assistant school is preferred
- Additional certifications or training, such as OSMA/OA, are considered assets
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients to our dental office and ensure their comfort
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials as needed
- Adhere to strict instrument sterilization protocols
- Assist dentists through 4-handed dentistry
- Perform lab tasks as instructed
- Offer post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene guidance
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked dental room
- Schedule patient appointments
- Keep precise patient records and assist with payment procedures
