About The Position

The Traveling Senior Project Managers at Mid-City Electric lead large, complex electrical construction projects and are accountable for delivering safe, high-quality results on schedule and within budget. They collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, build strong professional relationships, and maintain clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle. This role has a home base in Westerville, Ohio, and requires approximately 75% travel to project sites. After the initial onboarding period, the position may be performed remotely, provided the employee resides within reasonable proximity to an active project site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field, or extensive electrical construction experience with demonstrated leadership capability.
  • Minimum of five years of project management and estimating experience in commercial construction
  • Experience in the structured cabling and low-voltage industries.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam and electronic construction-document management platforms
  • Working knowledge of electrical construction, design, finance, and management
  • Demonstrated ability to improve employee performance through effective and innovative management techniques
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable industry standards, best practices, and processes and their impact on project activities
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time.

  • Preparing contracts, change orders, and purchase orders
