About The Position

OPC is seeking an organized Traveling Construction Superintendent with ground-up experience to join our growing team in the Midwest. We specialize in big box retail open-store remodels and are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to support our Walmart projects. This is a salaried position with travel requirements. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional leader and have a positive proactive attitude. This position requires a high level of communication and detailed reporting. Previous Walmart or Big Box Renovation experience is a plus.

Requirements

Extensive technical and practical knowledge, and experience as a Superintendent.
Ability to Read Blueprints.
Thorough knowledge of construction practices and methods as well as construction management.
Ability to write and speak to report on progress and outcome of technical assignments and to present recommendations.
Excellent scheduling, problem-resolution, communication, and leadership skills.
High level of follow through on tasks to completion.
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills including Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical skills; very detail-oriented, organized.
Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Company standards.
Travel required.

Responsibilities

Manage, schedule, and coordinate 5-20 subcontractors on general construction projects.
Monitor construction projects to a successful and timely completion.
Write and speak to report on progress and outcome of technical assignments and to present recommendations.
Use mobile apps on job sites for reporting and communication.
Supervise the work of others.
