About The Position

Aria Care Partners is seeking a Traveling Registered Dental Hygienist to provide onsite dental care to residents in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. This role involves traveling to various facilities within your home market, performing essential hygiene services, and collaborating with facility staff and the clinical team to ensure patient needs are met. Requirements

  • Current Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state in good standing.
  • 5 years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
  • Valid Driver's License with no moving violations in the last 5 years.
  • Own reliable transportation.
  • Ability to push/pull +/- 200 lbs. (e.g., patients in wheelchairs).
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds in and out of your vehicle and roll it in and out of homes/facilities.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer Service Skills: ability to work with staff at nursing homes to ensure their dental needs are met.
  • Computer Skills: ability to log chart notes at the time of visit.
  • Organization: ability to keep RDH supplies and dentures organized, and maintain a daily schedule.
  • Multi-Tasker: ability to prioritize and address multiple demands concurrently.
  • Communication: ability to communicate effectively with clinical coordinator, patients, responsible parties, and facility staff.

Responsibilities

  • Review patient lists prior to visits and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
  • Arrive on time, check in with the facility's dental contact, and review the list of patients to be seen.
  • Transport, set up, and take down equipment and supplies in the designated workspace.
  • Coordinate with facility staff for patient and chart transfer to and from the treatment room.
  • Perform required dental hygiene care, including taking X-rays, cleaning teeth and dentures, applying sealants, and assessing oral health to report findings to the dentist.
  • Explain procedures to patients during treatment.
  • Follow up with facility staff to review recommendations for patient care.
  • Enter treatment notes into Salesforce at the time of treatment.
  • Ensure OSHA safety and cleanliness regulations are followed during patient treatment.
  • Ensure correct handling of disposables before leaving facilities.
  • Check out with the facility's dental contact, including a review of chart notes, and leave printed copies of chart notes for patient charts.
  • Collaborate with the clinical support manager on scheduling and follow-up of patient care and treatment.
  • Maintain dental equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance routines.
  • Inventory supplies and order as needed.
  • Follow regulated OSHA guidelines in handling and sterilization of instruments.
  • Utilize personal vehicle for equipment/supply transport and travel to scheduled facility visits.
  • Be available via cell phone during the workday.
  • Expense purchases for office needs, unforeseen supply purchases, and other reimbursable business-related expenses.
