About The Position

SLS Consultants is a growing real estate development and construction consulting firm working in the data center, advanced manufacturing, life science, and healthcare markets. The Traveling Project Manager will manage data center projects from conception through completion, overseeing project execution to support on-time, on-budget delivery that meets quality, safety, and performance standards. The role involves coordinating stakeholders, schedules, budgets, risks, procurement, project documentation, and reporting in a fast-paced environment. A rotational travel schedule will be considered for candidates who reside outside the local area.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in real estate development, construction, or design.
• Proficiency in project management tools, project accounting, and construction drawings.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related area is strongly preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Data center, semiconductor, or healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project progress and identify schedule, cost, quality, and operational risks.
• Review contractor schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports for compliance with project requirements.
• Participate in construction and coordination meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Track procurement activities and long-lead equipment to support project milestones and critical path requirements.
• Assist in managing project documentation, meeting minutes, action items, and reporting deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with project safety standards, quality requirements, and client expectations.
• Support continuous improvement of project management processes, procedures, and best practices.
