Traveling Pediatric Dental Assistant
About The Position
Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Dental Assistant! At Great Expressions Dental Centers, we're seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and positively impact our patients' oral health. If you're looking for a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities, this is the perfect position for you! This is a traveling position that requires travel between the following Great Expressions Dental Centers locations: Pembroke Pines, Miramar, and Coconut Creek. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for travel between locations.
Requirements
- Meet state requirements for X-ray exposure certification (specific requirements vary by state: Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas)
- CPR Certification (required in Georgia, Massachusetts, Texas)
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification (required in Florida, Georgia)
- Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (required in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio)
- FDOH Permit to expose X-rays (required in Florida, Ohio)
- BORID certification and annual CE requirements (Massachusetts)
- TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners (Texas)
Nice To Haves
- Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail

- Proficiency in dental software and technology
Responsibilities
- Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
- Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
- Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
