About The Position
Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Dental Assistant! At Great Expressions Dental Centers, we're seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and positively impact our patients' oral health. This is a traveling position that covers the following locations: Miami Gardens, Cutler Bay, and Coral Gables. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
Requirements
- Meet the state requirements for dental assisting, including specific certifications and training for X-ray exposure as outlined for Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, and Texas.
- Proof of X-ray training certification (required within 8 weeks of hiring in Michigan).
- CPR Certification (required in Georgia and Texas).
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification (required in Florida and Georgia).
- FDOH Permit to expose X-rays (required in Florida and Ohio).
- BORID certification and annual CE requirements (Massachusetts).
- TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners (Texas).
Nice To Haves
- Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
- Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
- Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
