About The Position

Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Dental Assistant! At Great Expressions Dental Centers, we're seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and positively impact our patients' oral health. This is a traveling position that requires travel between the following locations: Boynton Beach, Coral Springs – Atlantic Blvd. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Requirements

  • Meet the state requirements for Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Meet the state requirements for Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
  • Meet the state requirements for Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Meet the state requirements for Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
  • Meet the state requirements for Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
  • Meet the state requirements for New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
  • Meet the state requirements for New York: Not applicable.
  • Meet the state requirements for Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
  • Meet the state requirements for Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
  • Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
  • Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
  • Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
