About The Position

Austin Retina Associates is hiring an entry-level Traveling Ophthalmic Technician for its Georgetown clinic, serving patients across Georgetown, Killeen, Temple, Liberty Hill, Granger, and Waco. The organization provides comprehensive training, so prior ophthalmic experience is not required. Technicians work alongside physicians to provide retina care and help preserve patients’ sight.

The role supports patients throughout their visits, including triage, gathering medical histories, vision testing and imaging, preparing exam rooms, documenting clinical notes, and assisting physicians with treatments and procedures. Technicians travel among clinic locations; company transportation is available, and driving responsibilities are shared. Schedules vary based on location, tasks, and assigned physician. Some days may involve early mornings or later hours. The position is hourly and FLSA non-exempt, with overtime eligibility.

Requirements

• Valid Texas driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to view multiple computer screens and use computer devices regularly.

Responsibilities
