About The Position

We are seeking a Network Technician with strong expertise in routing and switching technology to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team at Ft. Meade, MD. This role involves organizing and directing network installations, conducting on-site surveys, assessing and documenting current network configurations and user requirements, and designing and optimizing network topologies. The technician will also prepare engineering plans, site installation Technical Design Packages, and installation schedules, as well as mobilize and lead the network installation team. Responsibilities include preparing drawings that document configuration changes, creating site installation and test reports, and coordinating post-installation operations and maintenance support. A secret clearance is required for this position.

Requirements

Secret Clearance Required
Cable installation and termination (fiber and copper)
Rack and stack of network equipment
Basic troubleshooting and testing of network connections
Ability to read and follow network diagrams and installation plans
Familiarity with structured cabling standards and labeling
Strong expertise in routing and switching technology

Networking certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, Aruba, Versa)
