About The Position

As an MEP Superintendent, you’ll play a critical role in delivering complex, mission-critical data center projects. You’ll lead field execution, coordinate highly technical MEP systems, and ensure every phase of construction is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of project supervision experience in an industrial or large-scale commercial construction environment, including completion of at least one mission-critical project.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing, subcontractor management, and quality control.
  • Deep understanding of MEP systems, critical infrastructure (UPS, generators, CRAHs, BMS), and commissioning processes.
  • Experience with daily reporting, field coordination, and issue resolution on active job sites.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, BIM, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with IST protocols and commissioning coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Review contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and MEP scopes to understand project expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and other Superintendents on site setup, sequencing, and logistics.
  • Conduct site walks to document existing conditions and assess preconstruction risks.
  • Coordinate long-lead item planning, trade mobilization strategies, and permitting requirements with AHJs.
  • Review drawings and scopes in BIM to ensure clash-free, constructible designs.
  • Lead daily site operations and coordinate all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, low-voltage, and building automation systems.
  • Track work progress, document T&M costs, and support forecasting and cost control efforts.
  • Lead daily and weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
  • Proactively identify issues or delays and recommend mitigation plans.
  • Conduct regular field inspections to verify installation accuracy, quality, and design compliance.
  • Maintain detailed daily logs, as-built documentation, and support RFIs.
  • Plan and manage MEP schedules, commissioning, sequencing, and BIM-based installation.
  • Serve as the on-site face of FCL, fostering strong relationships with owners, consultants, inspectors, and trade partners.
  • Communicate daily with field teams to align scope, schedule, and responsibilities.
  • Champion jobsite safety, lead toolbox talks and JHAs and enforce all site-specific safety protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with building codes, facility rules, and client safety requirements.
