Traveling Installation Technician, Fleet (W2)
About The Position
The Installation Technician has a customer-facing role with primary duties of deploying 12-volt technology solutions in fleet vehicles. Technicians will be deploying 12-volt technology solutions in fleet vehicles. Will be responsible to go through training for proper installation and use of our client’s hardware & software. Demonstrate competence in troubleshooting which includes use of tools such as a multimeter. Be comfortable working with vehicle electrical systems and know the basics of working safely around 12-volt technology. Know proper methods of soldering electrical wires and crimp connections. Strong acumen for network cabling and network devices (basic networking principles). Experience working in cars, SUVs or RV/Campers. Work both independently and in a team.
Requirements
- Provide own tools (wrenches, sockets, wire cutters/strippers, portable soldering iron, portable drill, etc.).
- Demonstrate competence in troubleshooting which includes use of tools such as a multimeter.
- Be comfortable working with vehicle electrical systems and know the basics of working safely around 12-volt technology.
- Know proper methods of soldering electrical wires and crimp connections.
- Strong acumen for network cabling and network devices (basic networking principles).
- Reliable personal transportation, ability to fly and travel 100% during the week (Monday through Friday). You will be home on the weekends.
- Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
Nice To Haves
- Cradle point router or equivalent configuration knowledge a plus
- Experience working in cars, SUVs or RV/Campers
