About The Position

Pearce Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Traveling HVAC Installer Technician to join our team installing, servicing, and repairing commercial HVAC units on cell phone towers. This is a fast-paced and challenging job that is best suited for individuals who are self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to learn and grow in the Telecom industry. This is a travel position - 80% travel is required for up to three weeks at a time. Candidates should reside in the Memphis, Tennessee or North Mississippi area.

Requirements

1 or more years experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred)
1 or more year of Construction experience will be considered in lieu of HVAC experience
Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems
Candidates must be able to comply with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA Standards.
Candidates should reside in the Memphis, Tennessee or North Mississippi area.
Ability to operate a phone, computer, and/or tablet
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Must have the ability to inspect and/or troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively, both visually and audibly
Must have the ability to be on call and travel for work when needed, especially during busy summer months
May need to pass DOT physical

Nice To Haves

Experience with wall-mounted MarvAir, Bard, and MarvAir DAC/WAC direct air-cooling units highly preferred

Responsibilities

Installing and replacing components of entire systems of commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units
Timely and accurate completion of daily reports
Driving to remote work sites as needed
Performing upgrades on out-of-season equipment
Conducting performance checks as required
