About The Position

Cascade Drilling, LP is seeking a Traveling Driller. We offer competitive pay and benefits, including a starting wage of $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave. There is great potential for overtime, project-based bonuses, Driller License bonuses, and performance-based merit increases. We also offer an Employee Referral Bonus of $2,000 and reimbursement for CDL Training School with pay increases after obtaining a CDL A. This position offers the opportunity for travel, with our Richmond location traveling 70-80% of the time, primarily within Northern California, Northern Nevada, Central Valley, and the Bay area, while being home most nights. Projects typically operate Monday-Friday with occasional weekend and night shifts, and workday schedules of 10-12 hours. Occasional weekend travel may be required. Employees receive a private hotel room at no cost and per diem. Requirements

3+ years’ experience in the drilling industry, with at least one (1) year of experience operating a variety of rigs (i.e. sonic, rotary, auger)
Negative drug test
Satisfactory results of a background check (and your authorization to conduct a routine background check) – offenses will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
Possessing a valid Driver’s License for the state in which you reside and satisfactory results of a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is an essential requirement to function in this job
Obtaining and maintaining an interstate DOT Medical Card and meeting all Federal Interstate FMCSA requirements to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle
Passing a HAZWOPER physical
Verifying your legal right to work in the United States under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA)
Respiratory Protection will be required to be worn if specified by a site-specific Health and Safety Plan, or when air monitoring indicates potential for exposure levels to reach an established action, level, threshold limit value (TLV), or permissible exposure limit (PEL).
To comply with health and safety standards to protect against workplace hazards, employees may be required to shave or maintain facial hair in a manner that ensures a proper seal for respirator use.

Responsibilities

Operate drill rigs and drilling equipment with high proficiency
Maintain daily drilling reports
Ensure equipment is in safe working condition and conduct routine and preventative maintenance, as needed
Lead a drilling crew by training and mentoring employees and maintaining a safe environment
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MSDS, CEU’s and JSA’s
Approve employee timesheets
Complete well logs, logbook, repair orders, tailgates, and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Promote positive and professional relationships with team members and clients
Maintain all required certifications
Be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
Completes other duties and projects, as assigned
