About The Position

At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a talented Traveling Project Engineer to join our team in Zeeland, Michigan. In this role, you will provide technical, administrative, and subcontractor management support to Project Managers and Project Directors. You will travel to and support multiple projects throughout our Midwest region.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent technical degree.
• 1-3 years of experience in Engineering, Project Delivery, or a related discipline.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.
• Must have the ability to travel and commute on a daily or routine basis.
• Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and maintenance of execution plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage documentation, submittals, RFIs, and communication among project stakeholders.
• Support procurement, contract administration, and change management processes.
• Participate in safety planning and quality assurance, including shop drawing reviews and design compliance.
• Track project costs, invoice preparation, and reporting.
• Maintain project documentation systems and assist with closeout deliverables and turnover packages.
• Contribute to marketing materials, proposals, and ongoing team coordination across departments.
