About The Position

Clean Earth is seeking experienced and professional drivers who are committed to our values of people, partners, and planet. This role requires 100% travel, including extensive overnight stays, as you will be on the road full-time serving customer locations within your assigned region. Your responsibilities will include traveling to assigned route locations, packing, transporting, and properly disposing of waste material in accordance with environmentally responsible policies and procedures. The position is physically demanding and requires a driven approach, timely completion of tasks, and adaptability to a high-demand work environment with a customer service focus. Clean Earth emphasizes compliance with all regulatory agencies (DOT, EPA, OSHA, etc.), so a high level of training and awareness regarding job duties, along with a desire for professional growth, is essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CDL Class B.
  • DOT HAZMAT Endorsement
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Must have the ability to Perform & Maintain all assigned training related to Essential functions.
  • Maintains a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC)

Nice To Haves

  • Strong working knowledge of Environmental / Regulatory / DOT rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge on how to use & troubleshoot computer software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read a map.
  • Driver E-Log Experience
  • Some College or waste industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
  • Label containers and complete pre-printed manifests & work orders while adhering to your assigned route.
  • Classify, segregate and inventory waste containers in storage for shipment. Conducts lab pack operations. Pack small laboratory containers of chemical waste into larger containers for shipment.
  • Performs various regulatory Training, compliance and safety tasks including, but not limited to: Pre-trip inspections of vehicle, report all losses, spills, accidents, Leaking Containers, waste diversion and safety violations to supervisor immediately.
  • Professional contact with all levels of Customers daily in delivering, promoting, and collecting waste containers. Regular contact with many different levels of personnel.
  • Overnights Required.
  • Provide services related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste removal from customer sites.
  • Process and prepare Universal Hazardous Waste manifests, bills of lading and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) for hazardous waste shipment according to state, EPA and DOT regulations.
  • Performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of waste materials. Loads, unloads, moves, or stores items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions and performing general housekeeping.
  • Adhere to assigned route via electronic routing system with any deviations escalated to Management.
  • Operates a Hand Truck, Drum Dolly, Pallet Jack & Forklift.
  • Maintain the basic functionality & cleanliness of assigned company vehicle & equipment.
  • Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
