About The Position

Trescal is a growing company seeking new talent to join their organization as a premier independent calibration, repair, and asset services provider in the U.S. They offer single-source, cost-effective, best-in-class solutions to their customers. This is a traveling position based around the Dallas area with a Mobile Calibration Laboratory. Additional travel outside the area is typically in the state of Texas and the adjoining states. The role involves performing calibrations on medium to high level test and measurement instrumentation on-site at customer locations in a Mobile Calibration laboratory, and as needed, in a fixed site calibration lab. The technician will travel to service customers in the Central US, potentially by air or ground transportation. The role requires using troubleshooting, repair, and calibration knowledge to work on unique equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction, and creating/verifying calibration data sheets for technical content and accuracy based upon specifications and approved procedures.

Requirements

  • Military (PMEL OR TMDE) training OR a technical associates degree OR equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience calibrating test & measurement equipment in a commercial or military calibration laboratory.
  • Experienced in calibrating several disciplines of test and measurement equipment including but not limited to: Physical Dimensional; DC/Low frequency; RF Microwave.
  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ANSI / NCSL Z-540 and ISO 9000
  • Experience using Calibration software such as: LabView, SureCal, Met/Cal, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations on medium to high level test and measurement instrumentation
  • Calibrations will be performed on-site at customer locations in one of our Mobile Calibration laboratories and as needed, in a fixed site calibration lab.
  • Travel to service our customers in the Central US. Travel might be by air or ground transportation depending on the customer location.
  • Use your troubleshooting, repair, and calibration knowledge to work on unique equipment
  • Be responsible for customer satisfaction on all equipment and services
  • Create and verify calibration data sheets for technical content and accuracy based upon specifications and approved procedures
