Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Travel Auto/Diesel Technician to join our team in Apopka, FL. This is a Travel Tech position that requires Diesel and Automotive Experience. This role requires flexibility, as travel may be scheduled on short notice and can result in sudden changes to your work schedule. Candidates should be comfortable adapting to shifting priorities and working in fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environments. Non-travel weeks will be spent building Mobile Service Center trucks and completing other projects. Working closely with Fleet Managers and Senior Fleet Managers.

Requirements

5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Valid driver’s license
Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical if required for the role

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations
Perform other duties as required
