About The Position

As our next Skid Steer Operator, you'll play a vital role in supporting our operations by safely operating skid steer equipment to move, load, and manage materials on a variety of job sites. Your work helps keep projects running efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. Whether you're grading, loading debris, or preparing worksites, your attention to detail and commitment to safe operations directly contribute to cleaner, safer communities. Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 1 year of skid steer experience is preferred
  • Driver’s License
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, DOT physical, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures, conduct inspections, operate equipment responsibly, and comply with all traffic, site, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong ability to plan routes, complete work efficiently and accurately, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain consistent, dependable attendance.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors and teammates, represent the Company professionally, and promptly report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure all safety features are operational before beginning route.
  • Review assigned routes thoroughly prior to departure.
  • Be proactive in asking clarifying questions if the route or expectations are unclear.
  • Complete assigned jobs within the allotted timeframe while maintaining expected quality and attention to detail.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently at all times, following all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and site-specific protocols.
  • Exercise additional caution during inclement weather or challenging site conditions.
  • Handles materials safely and securely; Applies correct procedures for material types and disposal sites.
  • Immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns and accurately complete required logs and paperwork.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while representing the company on job sites or in public areas.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients when needed.
  • Accurately completes required logs, manifests, and forms.
  • Responds appropriately to changes and challenges; identifies and solves issues timely.
