About The Position

Giving Home Health Care is seeking experienced Travel RNs to provide high-acuity patient care with flexible scheduling and ongoing contract opportunities across multiple service areas in New Mexico. This position offers a higher pay rate due to the requirement for full flexibility and availability to support staffing needs across various locations. Travel nurses may be assigned to multiple patients and communities, including travel between regions, and their schedules may include weekdays, weekends, day shifts, nights, and holidays. Assignments are based on areas with the greatest patient care need, and nurses may temporarily support patient homes until permanent coverage is secured before rotating to a new assignment. If travel nursing demand decreases, contractors may have the opportunity to transition into a standard 1099 nursing role.

Requirements

Minimum of three (3) 12-hour shifts per week
6-week contract assignments
RN Hourly Rate: $65 an hour + mileage.
Mileage reimbursement is provided for qualifying travel assignments: Mileage begins after 50 one-way miles. $0.41 per mile for the first 500 miles, $0.21 per mile after 500 miles.

Responsibilities

Execute physician prescribed plans of care.
Complete compliant documentation of the care provided in the system of record.
Manage and administer prescribed medication, treatment, and therapies.
Conduct patient assessments, coordination of care.
Perform various activities associated with daily living.
Monitor vitals and GI intake and output.
Assess skin integrity and administer wound care.
Monitor for changes in the patient’s condition such as weight loss/gain, self-care abilities, and indicators of disease progression.
Communicate with family members, physicians, case managers, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of the patients.
Provide education and training to the patient, their family, and/or the Home Health Aide.
Work with patients one-on-one in their homes to provide for a comfortable environment.
Collaborate with and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants and Personal Care Attendants.
Perform other personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs.
