Travel RN - Operating Room
About The Position
This is a contract position for a Travel RN in the Operating Room at a Hospital Campus in Atlanta, GA. The unit is staffed 24 hours, 7 days per week, with a case volume varying between 28-55 cases per day. The service lines are heavy with Ortho, Neuro, Urology, General & Thoracic. The unit has 3 XI Robots for the General, Urology, & Thoracic service lines. The position is for 13 weeks with a possible extension. The shift is 12 hours, Days/Nights, with no on-call requirement. The shift times are 6:45a-7:15p or 6:45pm-7:15am, with variations. Weekend and holiday work may be required, and block scheduling is not available.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the Operating Room specialty.
- Required AHA BLS certification.
- Previous travel experience.
- Level 1 trauma experience.
- Strong surgical skills.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred AHA ACLS certification.
- Burn experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Room.
- Assist with a variety of surgical cases including robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, and gyn.
- Work within a 24/7 inpatient surgical unit.
- Manage case volumes that vary between 28-55 cases per day.
- Utilize 3 XI Robots for General, Urology, & Thoracic service lines.
- Adapt to varying shift schedules including days/nights, weekends, and holidays.
