Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Case Manager for a travel assignment at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. This role supports inpatient case management services focused on discharge planning, care coordination, and utilization review in a high-volume acute care environment. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for RN Case Managers with strong acute care experience who are comfortable managing high patient caseloads and coordinating multidisciplinary care across complex patient populations. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Day shift 5x8s • Shift options: 07:00–15:30, 07:30–16:00, 08:00–16:30, or 08:30–17:00 • Monday–Friday schedule required • Weekend rotation required (every other or 4 weekend days per 4 weeks) • Floating required within case management services • No call required

Requirements

  • Acute care hospital experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
  • Case Management experience REQUIRED
  • Epic charting experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
  • Active Alaska RN license REQUIRED at submission for Auto Offer
  • BLS certification preferred
  • ACM certification preferred
  • Ability to manage high caseloads (approx. 1:50)
  • Must be willing to float within case management services
  • Must meet 50-mile radius rule
  • No locals accepted
  • RTO limited to 1 request (max 5 days) and must be submitted at time of submission
  • No holiday RTO allowed for Auto Offer
  • Must be willing to work weekends as required
  • Hep B vaccine required (no titers or declinations accepted)
  • 2 supervisory references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Nice To Haves

  • ACM certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate discharge planning and transitions of care
  • Perform patient assessments and develop care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapy, pharmacy, and social services
  • Utilize Milliman guidelines for care planning
  • Coordinate DME and post-acute services
  • Ensure CMS and HIPAA compliance
  • Document care in Epic EMR
