Experience with store remodels, store setup crews, big box retail experience, and/or new store openings is highly desired. The average schedule allows for 8-10 hour days with potential overtime, typically no less than 40 hours per week when traveling.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (state to state commute).
  • Ability to travel extensively for projects nationwide (over 75% travel in most cases).
  • Able to drive up to 750 Miles at one time using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed, and daily travel pay).
  • Must provide tools for personal use.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods, kneel, bend, reach and lift/carry up to 60lbs.
  • Capable and willing to present a professional image of Merchco Services to our clients and retail personnel.
  • Must have a personal banking account for direct deposit and proof of valid vehicle insurance.
  • Must have a device with internet for email and app-based programs.
  • Willing to share rooms when the project requires double occupancy.
  • Ability to meet requirements for background check and motor vehicle report.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and jobsite-appropriate appearance in alignment with company standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on the jobsite to support safety, coordination, and quality execution.
  • Practical knowledge and use of tape measure, hand saw and other power tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with store remodels, store setup crews, big box retail experience and/or new store openings.
  • Retail new store set-up/remodel experience.
  • Forklift experience desired (company certification provided).

Responsibilities

  • Physical setup of the framework in retail stores, including the installation of shelving units, fixtures, signs/graphics, and displays during new store builds and remodel projects.
  • Read schematics/POG to set and stock product including shelving units and displays.
  • Extensive profiling of bays and sections, including shelving and accessories.
  • Assemble specialty merchandising units, stands, shelving and displays.
  • Work in new store, remodel, and reset/roll-out environments, including days or overnight work.
  • Work effectively independently as well as a part of a team.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with co-workers and store personnel.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and follow all company safety policies.
  • Work with a sense of urgency while having attention to detail.
  • Complete general paperwork.
  • Perform Millwork/Display/Fixture Assembly and Demo.
  • Perform Signage installation.
  • Assemble components like fitting rooms, floating desks and shelving, and level/install owner supplied FF&E millwork.
