Travel Respiratory Therapist, RRT
About The Position
FirstChoice is Trinity Health's mobile staffing solution, offering premium compensation and maximum flexibility for experienced Respiratory Therapists. RTs are utilized to fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system, with nationwide and regional opportunities available. This role involves floating throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and regions, adhering to AARC guidelines for professional practice, acting independently within the scope of knowledge, and retaining accountability for decisions and outcomes. The position also requires collaboration with stakeholders, contribution to quality improvement, and embracing new ideas while managing competing priorities.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
- Current RRT credential.
- Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.
- Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.
- Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
Responsibilities
- Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
- Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
- Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
- Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
- Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
- Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
- Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities
