About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. Travel Registered Nurses fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, with regional and nationwide opportunities. This role is based at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center in Iowa and involves a 13-week assignment, working three 12-hour night shifts per week. The start date is flexible. Nurses may be required to float throughout the hospital and across multiple hospital locations or regions. The position offers premium compensation and flexibility, with travel and per diem opportunities and a variety of practice settings.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state or states of practice or employment.
Have at least 18 months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele, and PCU specialties.
Have at least two years of recent clinical experience for other specialties, including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health.
Obtain and maintain credentials required for the applicable specialty, such as ACLS or TNCC.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
Apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Practice independently and appropriately within the limits of licensure, knowledge, experience, and practice area.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
Adapt to new and additional responsibilities while managing competing priorities.
