Requirements
- Hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse for Alabama
- A valid CPR certification
- Ability/willingness to seek licensure in other states
- Ability to travel (approximately 75%) to sites
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and decision-making skills are essential
Nice To Haves
- Quality assurance and utilization management experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Travel to sites to assist with transitions and fill-in shifts as needed
- Work under the mentorship of a Senior Vice President and Director of Jail Operations
- Understand the principles and concepts of medical quality assurance and utilization review
- Monitor and report on the quality of all facets of the medical care provided to patients
- Gather clinical information to assess and expedite care needs
- Conduct detailed clinical chart assessments including reviewing requests from providers regarding medical necessity of requested services for patients
