About The Position
Centurion is seeking a Full-time Traveling Day Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Macon State Prison in Oglethorpe, GA. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to incarcerated patients, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, and identifying/responding to patient needs. Travel RNs assigned to Georgia earn up to $2200/week, including a non-taxed weekly stipend. Eagles supporting the Georgia program must reside outside of the state of Georgia. Travelers are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees with opportunities nationwide.
Requirements
- Georgia RN license or the ability to obtain a license
- At least two (2) years of RN experience
- Must live 50 miles or more from facility
- Must have open availability to travel throughout the state of Georgia as needed per contract needs
- Current CPR/BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Corrections experience not required, but preferred
Responsibilities
- Providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor.
- Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological, and social needs of patients.
