About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit in a tertiary care hospital. The RN will manage intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from ICU, requiring close cardiac monitoring, complex medication administration, and coordinated interdisciplinary care.

Requirements

• Active New York RN License (in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year PCU / Stepdown / Telemetry or equivalent acute care experience
• Epic EMR experience (required)
• Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
• Ability to float to ICU or Med-Surg units
• BLS (Required)
• ACLS (Required)
• NIHSS (Required)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU/stepdown patients
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications, including cardiac and vasoactive drips (non-titrated)
• Manage IV therapy and central/peripheral lines
• Respond to rapid response and code situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
